OLD WORLD CHRISTMAS CLIP ON BIRD ORNAMENTS Old World Christmas Clip-on Bird Ornaments Feather Tails Fiber Optic Style Plastic Tails Narrow Gold Color Aluminum Tails Overall Sizes 4 3/4 inches - 10 1/2 inches Including Tail This lot of 11 Old World Christmas clip on bird ornaments are in as found condition. Tails are either made from a feather or simulated feather, thin strips of a white fiber optic style plastic, or strips of a very thin flexible gold color aluminum type metal material. The smaller bird bodies measures approximately 2 1/4 inches long with the tail measuring from approximately 2 1/2 inches to 3/12 inches in length depending upon what it is made of. The medium sized birds all have feather tails. The bodies of these measure approximately 3 1/2 inches in length while the tail feathers measure approximately 3 1/2 inches in length. The larger birds have bodies that measure approximately 5 inches in length, with the tails measuring from approximately 3 inches to 5 1/2 inches in length depending upon what the tail is made from. All are blown glass. Their clips that would hold them on a branch are all marked OWC. Colors range from vibrant purples, reds, orange, yellow, silver, to various shades of lighter pinks, blues, greens, and reds. The colors on the birds are all in very good condition. The box has damage to the corners and the clear cellophane on the lid. There are a couple small tears near one of the corners, as well as some fraying of the edges. While I cannot guarantee this is the box these ornaments came in, it is the box they were in when I purchased them in a local antique shop. Colors on the box are still good. The birds have individually wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap, placed back into the box with thin strips of cardboard separating each one, the lid has been placed on top, and the box itself wraped in bubble wrap before being placed into a larger shipping box lined with bubble wrap and filled with biodegradable packing peanuts.
