I have a blood relation with Abu Arab, who is a member of the family to which my late mother belonged. I met him several times in Jordan. During one of our meetings in Jordan, I promised him that I would work on publishing a documentary book that includes his biography and most of his poems and writings. Abu Arab chose the path of resistance; his father was a fighter who resisted with arms and was martyred in the Battle of Al-Shajara in 1948, and his son Ma'an, a resistance fighter, was martyred in southern Lebanon in 1982, and his grandfather Ali Al-Ahmad was also a resistance fighter. Abu Arab is the poet of the revolution, the camps, and the people. His poems and verses entered the hearts of every Palestinian to the extent that they are recited by most of our Palestinian people and even Arabs. It is natural for such an icon to be written about by many.
