Item description
FANTASTIC FOUR UNLIMITED # 7
September 1994, Marvel Comics
"The Shape of Things That Came" Script by Roy Thomas. Pencils by Herb Trimpe. Inks by Carmen Imperato. Wraparound cover by Claudio Castellini. Plot continues from Strange Tales (1st series) #88. Frank Johnson invites the Fantastic Four to attend the gala opening of his Museum of the Monstrous and Strange! The Invisible Woman, Human Torch, Thing, and Ant-Man are at first reluctant to go inside, but eventually they do. And four large but dead monsters greet them! Grottu, Rorgg, the Blip, and the Two-Headed Thing. The four monsters are a very creepy sight! And even creepier when they suddenly spring to life! The fabulous foursome quickly leap into action, and the bizarre battle begins! And the fight won't end until the Fantastic Four confront the mighty Zzutak in Mexico! What a strange and nostalgic tale! Cameo appearance by Spider-Man. Second feature: One-page pin-up of Ant-Man (aka Scott Lang) and the Thing by M.C. Wyman and Charles Barnett. Third feature: One-page pin-up of the Invisible Woman, Thing, and Human Torch by Dante Bastianoni. (Notes: This story is a tribute to the marvelous monsters Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created during the Silver Age. The first appearances of the four monsters are: Grottu in Strange Tales #73; Rorgg in Journey into Mystery #64; the Two-Headed Thing in Strange Tales #95; and the Blip in Tales to Astonish #15.) 64 pages. Cover price $3.95.
