In French. Short description: This publication is dedicated to the Soviet painter Andrei Mylnikov. Andrei Andreevich Mylnikov (born 1919) - People's Artist of the RSFSR, member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He studied in Leningrad at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under I. E. Grabar and V. M. Oreshnikov. Melnikov's works (genre paintings, landscapes, portraits, mosaic panels, monumental and decorative paintings) are distinguished by their emotional upliftment, clarity of composition, and festive brightness of color. Works: On Peaceful Fields (1949; State Prize of the USSR, 1951) and Awakening (1957) - both in the Russian Museum, Leningrad; Morning (1972, Directorate of Art Funds and Design of Monuments of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR); Lenin (1961) - a hard curtain of the Kremlin Palace of Congresses; mosaics in the Leningrad Youth Theater (1962).
