Item description
A CHRISTMAS STORY
By Jean Shepherd.
New York: Broadway Books, (2003).
First edition thus, first printing.
This edition collects all the fictionalized semi-autobiographical incidents of Shepherd's Ralphie, first published in parts in IN GOD WE TRUST ALL OTHERS PAY CASH, and elements from WANDA HICKEY'S NIGHT OF GOLDEN MEMORIES, that were drawn upon to create the 1983 Bob Clark directed comedy film.
A presentable film tie-in tale.
A trace of crimping to the lower spine edge, else very nearly fine and tight in red linen boards over blue-threaded white boards with gilt embossed titles to the spine, green-and-white headband and tail-band; in a fine dust jacket with front panel film photo of Ralphie; original printed $14.95 price still intact to the front inner flap.
After photographing for this entry, the dust jacket will be placed in a clear, removable, quality Bro-Dart brand protective sleeve.
Octavo; 131 pages; plus publisher's three page introductory note; plus 'About the Author' page.
