Item description
Super neat really old light. (not sure of age but guessing 1920s or sometime between 1910 and 1940 based on the old cloth wires, but we are not experts -see pict and you decide! )
Has neat old mixed patina with some minimal polishing, but you could run a polishing wheel all over it, if you want bright brass.
Real brass or copper (no tin nor steel)
Has porcelain socket with bit of old cloth wire cut off.
You will need to take it all apart to rewire to your needs (or you can put a cord on it)
Sold as is due to age but socket is not cracked and looks to be reusable.
Top bracket/coupler could accept a chain or thin threaded pipe into top of it as it is threaded and a common coupler of antique light fixtures that were hung on old gas piping or thin pipe.
Note coupler turns hard and I did not want to force it, so I sprayed some PB blaster into top area threads to ease future disassembly, but you will need to take bottom parts apart to get at the socket to unscrew and may even need to heat the coupler up if it does not turn easily. Sold as is buyer to have experience with taking old things apart!
Or use as is and set over an LED candle etc!
