Crawford, 1891. 1st ed, original burgundy wrappers w/ gilt titling on cover only, 8vo (9x5.875?), Very Good/n.a., 202pp. Minor wear and rubbing to edges, text is complete with all facsimiles and maps intact, including the index. The Nevins bibliography describes this work as a "detailed but painfully defensive tract on the Confederate operations at Fair Oaks by the man who temporarily commanded the army." (Nevins I, 43). Never the less this tome stands tall in the annals of the U.S. Civil War as a contemporary, personal and 1st hand account of the battle of Seven Pines. Quite the distinctive Capture of Tyme indeed!
