Generic IDS cover looks great, a few creases near edges; light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back). Price sticker near top-right on front; right/left cover seams becoming unglued on back. Inner-sleeve is generic white. Spine is easy-to-read, with wear. Shelf-wear along left/right-edge; heavier wear to corners. Opening is mostly crisp with signs of use and divots. British producer Ian Levine was behind the creation of this band, which formed in 1979. With the demise of disco, it seemed they would be a one-off project before Levine decided to assemble a new line-up of the group in 1984, when he was working for Record Shack Records. I Hear Thunder became a hit on the UK Hi-NRG scene. Seventh Avenue, heartfelt and personable, with solid hooks and accessible production, proved that the producer-oriented "boy band" concept was alive and strong well before the advent of New Kids on the Block or Take That. Fans of either of those groups or their more recent successors, such as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, will enjoy hearing the rudiments of that sound here.
