Item description
A W Pennington Sterling Silver Bridge Playing Card Flip Trump Marker London 1923.
Unique sterling silver bridge trump marker featuring flip cards of Bakelite. This is stamped AWP with a date mark of 1923 assayed in Birmingham UK. It?s maker is A W Pennington, a silversmith circa 1901-1942. This has a rubber cemented bottom for weight - see photos.
Unfortunately, this is a broken specimen with one of the wires not holding up over the century of its life. This could be fixed by someone with the tools and know how, but I believe it would devalue such a unique piece! I will leave that choice up to the buyer.
