(Internal #W-KIM-1) This is a beautiful vintage KAKESHITA JAPANESE WEDDING KIMONO. Rare HUGE Wedding Kimono, red silk with crane and flowers in gold embroidered design. One of a kind, hand crafted; museum quality ceremonial piece in pure silk with intricate detailed hand-embroidery throughout. To emphasize the actual size, photos of Glenn on ladder holding it. Like the uchikake, the kakeshita has a bright orange-red padding at the hem but this padding is much lighter ? an inch of padding as compared to 2-3? of padding on the uchikake. The patterning of the kakeshita is also typically sparse around the mid-section, as this would be covered with a formal obi belt. The kakeshita fabric is similar to a furisode kimono, and the sleeves are usually just as long.
