By positioning the clubface slightly behind the shaft, it gives you more time to square the club at impact. This encourages right to left spin (i.e. draw shape) and minimizes left to right spin (ie slice shape). An offset hosel corrects any rightward tendencies and helps you find the middle of the fairway easier and more consistently. Although there aren?t very many offset drivers to choose from, Cobra, Callaway, and Wilson still produce them. Basically, if you are willing to embrace your natural slice shape off the tee, an offset driver could be the perfect companion for reducing this tendency and helping you find more fairways.
