It is said that the Ankou is the spirit of the last person that dies in the city/town and appears as a tall, drawn figure in a black cloak/robe. No matter what you call them, they are exceedingly helpful and devoted. Ankous bring peace and comfort to those dying, as well as loved ones around them, and dedicated guardians of cemeteries. However; they are also fantastic in the ways they help the living.
