It has the absorbent power of a large towel. if you care for it properly it can last for a really long time. I use this to wipe down and clean and dust all my counters, tables, chairs, shelves, etc. They dry extremely quickly however you can use them even if they are wet. They will pick up anything from small dust particles to crumbs. they are extremely absorbent. I use them to soak up all the soapy water when I clean my gas stove top it gets it all in one go.
