The obverse features the mighty and majestic Sleipnir- the eight legged steed of Norse god, Odin. Both Sleipnir and Odin appear battle ready, cloaked in the garments of war, shield and sword drawn. Huginn and Muninn, the trusted ravens of Odin, fly at either side of the pair. Billowy clouds fill the field. Yggdrasil is displayed on the reverse, lush and awe-inspiring. ‘Round the World Tree are gathered creatures from Norse mythology. A stag nibbles a branch while a raven looks on. A serpent creeps along the base of the tree, adding an ominous air to the design. “1 OZ .999 FINE COPPER” borders the bottom of the round.
