Item description
INVITATION TO LIVE
by Lloyd C. Douglas
Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1940.
First edition, first printing.
Boldly SIGNED by the author to the front endpaper.
Two tiny tears to the crown of the spine, upper corner tips gently bumped, else very good plus in lime-green linen with rules and titles embossed in black to the front cover and to the spine; in a very good plus dust jacket with chipping and a tear to the upper spine edge.
Dean Harcourt, of the author's previous novel GREEN LIGHT, sends a frivolous heiress out on a curious adventure that affects the lives and fortunes of many others as well as her own.
Douglas wrote positive inspiration-message books, and remains popular with the new generation, and left a fond nostalgic feeling with the older generation.
Many of Douglas's novels were filmed, including THE ROBE.
Scarce SIGNED.
