Pagrumpy I figured out a workaround. I selected “update items as a group”. Then I changed the listings to Calculated Shipping 1lb weight. Then I changed those same listings back to the free service I wanted using a shipping profile I set up. All my listing now show the desired shipping.

Also the listings I had a problem with were duplicated from another listing. I had to set them to Calculated to make it “forget” the “Free Unspecified” option.

Are you hitting “Save my changes” after you change it to how you want it? Also, try hitting update your booth, i dont think thats what it is, but its worth a try. Or maybe someone else will have an idea.

Thanks for the input, I tried again today still having same problem

the shipping has to be cleared, before it can be changed, or a shipping profile added, if something already has a shipping option set up

You were on the right track with the Update items as a group (aka batch edit)

If you wish to use the same shipping profile

Open/make a listing
Set the shipping
Save the profile (give it a name)

Update Items as a group
Click on shipping
Select items you wish to change
Click on Clear domestic Shipping
Then click on Assign a Shipping Profile

Select the profile you want (you can make as many different profiles you want)
Apply Changes (to selected Items)

To make shipping changes, or add international changes in batch edit, the original shipping set up has to be cleared first….

or you can do it for each listing individually in edit mode

PS when making a new listing, use the drop down menu to set type of shipping

Cool. Thanks for the info. I didn’t see the “Clear Domestic Shipping” button.

I just started listing tonight and I am having the same problem. My shipping option won’t “stick” after I save it. My listings shows “Free via Unspecified shipping type to United States” no matter what option I choose. The first two listing I did tonight saved correctly but the rest after that won’t save the shipping.
