Paypal transaction Review

OK I got a HUGE order early this morning here with over 8 items (yea, go me!). The transaction is big enough that it is being reviewed by paypal.

Problem is that this order shows up nowhere… I dont see it anywhere here and the items that were ordered/sold are still in my active listings. I am not sure if I should end them and does the transaction have to go through for it to show up in sold? Additionally, if I miss one and it sells, what then? Can I refund the buyer a portion of the transaction?

It seems very strange that none of the items that were bought were removed from my active listings. I have already contacted paypal and it is a legitimate transaction, but because of the dollar amount (over $1500), it is being reviewed.

I wrote seller support this morning but have yet to hear back. The last question I asked took 2 days to answer so I any info anyone has experience wise would be awesome! Thanks so much!!

You can usually find all orders on your fees page. I believe this is the [URL removed] [URL removed] Once PP is done reviewing the order it will be called back to Bonanza and the items will be removed from sale.

Thank you Mark, the issue is that information needs to be told to new people. All other marketplaces (and there are 3 other than here), if the buyer has a pending transaction regardless of the method of payment, that item is no longer available for sale. If I had know, I would have pulled it.

First off…go ahead and put the items on reserve..either through batch edit or going to the listings and click on the Reserve link right after the title…do not ‘end them’ (this isn’t ebay)

>>>>_does the transaction have to go through for it to show up in sold?_<<<<

Exactly…..Because the purchase is being reviewed…paypal has not completed the transaction yet, and therefore bonanza has not been contacted that a purchase has been made (sent the API callback for the purchase).

Once that happens, you will be notified by bonanza…and it will show in items sold…

>>>_Additionally, if I miss one and it sells, what then? Can I refund the buyer a portion of the transaction?_<<<

You could do partial refund…but I would advise refunding the second buyer, not partially refunding the first buyer awaiting approval……
Just find all the items and put them on reserve….

ccmom, would you know why pp would want to review the order? just curious

ccmom says: February 20, 2015

well, he did say the amount was rather high…could be any number of things to do with either the buyer’s credit limits, funds available, or the seller’s account…I think if I was getting a very large order (which I have in my other booth) I would want to be sure there was no problem with the buyer

very true. thanks ccmom

Wow… Congrats on the nice Order… I’m sure once the dollar amount is cleared by PayPal… all will go smooth as butter ! Enjoy !

Thank you all for help! The sale went through and everything is copacetic. I will remember for next time that I need to reserve the items but honestly it should by all rights be done automatically… just my opinion for what it is worth. Buyer has done everything they are supposed to do…

@misskeech – paypal reviews transactions from buyers that do not have a solid history or ones that are making an exceptionally large transaction. This is normal. What is not normal is that the items are not pulled from inventory as being sold. It is not the buyers fault nor mine that this was being reviewed… as I said, just my opinion.
