After more than 2 years with a Bonanza booth, I find I may not have been understanding how much Bonanza is charging me for sales. I thought I was being charged 40 cents for each transaction through the money I put in my shipping account, but now I see that there seems to be an additional 50 cent charge per transaction (which makes my last sale a whole 1 cent profit for me).
I can’t tell how they’re getting this additional money from me. Are they taking it from my shipping fund? I can’t find the answer on Bonanza help pages. I’ve asked through the help desk, but have not had the question answered directly.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can clear this up for me.

Everyone is really spot on here!
We believe the 40 cents you’re talking about is processing fee you’re being charged whenever you purchase a shipping label through us. For users that are not Bonanza members, a few cents per shipping label transaction are added to support our shipping label development efforts (which is responsible for negotiating our USPS discount as mentioned above, as well as integrating & maintaining the label purchasing with our API provider). For Bonanza members, we waive this nominal fee.

There is no listing insertion fee and after a sale You pay Final Offer Value fee (for item’s price and shipping cost above $10), which depends on the advertising level You have [URL removed] 3,5%, 9%, 13%, 19% or 30%.
There is, though, a minimum fee – $0.50.
When You sell e.g. $4 item with free shipping and You [URL removed]
- an economy 3,5 % settings, then Your fee will not be $0.14, but 0.50
- a basic 9% settings → $0.36 → You pay 0.50
- a standard 13% → $0.52 → You pay 0.52
etc.

Hello Bon_Anne_[URL removed]
I don’t know what you mean by an “extra” 0.50, but I understand the FVF per sale to be your basic 3.5% fee (or your advertising percentage if you’ve chosen a level), OR 0.50, whichever is higher. I sell a lot of papercrafting products, and if my product is not priced high enough, I end up paying the 0.50 FVF other than my 9% advertising percentage (or 3.5% if my sale did not come through the advertising channels I think). That 0.50 could be 50% of the cost of some of my lower-priced products. It would not be at the 9% (or 3.5%) because for that rate to kick in, the product has to be priced high enough where it would cause the fee to surpass 0.50. Anything below that would always have a 0.50 fee.
I chose the 9% advertising level. If I make a sale for a product priced at $5, 9% of $5 would be 0.45, but I don’t pay that. I pay 0.50, because there must be a minimum charge per sale of at least 0.50. If I make a sale for a product priced at $5.62, I pay the actual 9% of the price as my FVF. For this sale, it would be 0.51. But if I drop below that, I pay 0.50 for the sale, no matter what percentage of the sale the 0.50 works out to be. Transactions on lower-priced products like that are good for pseudo-freebies, customer-appreciation bargains and incentives. It’s like investing in more advertising.
This may not be the info that you need, and my computations may be off, but I hope it makes some sense to whoever reads it. Feel free to share what I may have said that is incorrect in a comment to this post.

Don’t forget that the first $10 in stated shipping charges is NOT subject to a Bonanza FVF. For example, if you charge $12 in shipping, any FVF charged on the first $10 shipping cost is waived. So, you pay a FVF on the sale price of the item(s) PLUS the $2 in excess of the $10 that is waived. However, if you list FREE shipping, the entire transaction is subject to a sales commission.
Of course, as others stated, there is a 50 cent minimum FVF you will be charged and the percentage you pay (3.5%, 95. etc.) is based on the advertising level you choose.
You mention Bonanza taking extra money from you (possibly through your shipping account… don’t forget that Bonanza charges a separate service fee for using their shipping service.

I get that you may not have knew how much Bonanza is taking for sales. I think they are charging about 40 bucks for each business through the money I put into my car transfer account, but now. I asked for [URL removed] . I see that it seems to be an extra 50 per cent charge for a business (which makes sales my last one in every chapter 1 for me).
