Combined shipping for variable weights?

I have tried the discounts and coupons page, and it works well except that it includes everything.

I sell generally in 3 sizes. 50, 150 and 1000 grams.

If they pay $14 for first kg, and buy something that weighs 50g with it they will be paying too much for the second, lighter item. Alternatively if they bought a second kg, they would be paying too little.

So, combined shipping based on weight or per item basis? How can this be set?

I fear a customer seeing a few hundred in shipping fees won’t purchase, despite what I write about refunding the difference in the description. I know I wouldn’t make the purchase.

I think this link may help you determine the best way to set up your shipping when someone buys multiple items

Hi, the k you very much for your reply. Unfortunately that’s the link I read and tried setting up with. My question is I add a dollar amount, lets say $5, per additional item, but a 50 gram package and a 1kg package cost very different amounts and thus adding a single dollar amount for vastly different shipping charges isn’t possible.

I have tried to streamline my herb a d spice line to everything being 3 sizes, 50g, 150g and 1kg. But if I add a dollar amount equal to 1kg the 50g customers are being way overcharged. And if I add a dollar amount to ship 50g then 1kg customers I will often be losing money.

I tried usingGthe calculated shipping based on weights butTit is US only for automatic quotes, however if we could do the calculated shipping but input our own costs that would be ideal as well.
