If I sell furniture that can’t be shipped, is there a way to narrow the sale to a more local audience? Where they may pick the item up from me directly.

There are a few sellers here that list items for pick up only…there actually used to be an option in the Edit booth options to allow pick up….but I see that option is no longer available
There is no way to actually narrow your audience, but you can advertise it locally with a link to your listings…by doing this the purchase can be made online and you do not have to worry about exchange of money in person…
Instead of putting in a shipping cost, use the option of Details are in Item description
if someone tries to purchase, it will come to you as an OBO, which then you can approve if the buyer is local and will pick up or deny if buyer is not local…

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
