Anyone know about north carolina contemporary hand pottery?

Lufkin Pottery bowls and crocks have fallen into my hands, and I am not seeing much in the way of comps. It appears the family-owned Christina-missioned pottery is still in operation (their site is so misspelled I don’t know how they can sell via search!) – my question is whether it’s sought, valued, and whether to sell as NC pottery or via it’s implied Christian orientation. TIA

Lufkin Pottery is in Seagrove, NC which is known for many family run pottery shops. Seagrove has high tourist traffic through the area looking for the handmade items. I have sold a couple of pieces of pottery from Seagrove, not Lufkin but Kovack in my other booth.

I do not know much about the rest of the country, but list it as Lufkin Pottery from Seagrove NC, near Ashville, NC…those looking for Seagrove pottery will find it.

Thanks, CB – and for the Kovack link. The Lufkin bowls I have listed are exceptional examples of their best work. Feels good in hand, and has a contemporary traditional aesthetic.

Thanks also for the links. I have a couple Seagrove pieces in my booth and don’t know much about them. Beautiful artwork…Local pottery is wonderful!
