Why does bonanza send potential customers to amazon through the amazon review link?

I do not understand why Bonanza would have a link on booth items that sends a potential customer to Amazon. It just does not make good business sense in my opinion. If someone wants to check Amazon items they are perfect free to do it, but why in the world make it so easy to deprive a Bonanza member of a potential sale. I have read that you can get rid of this link if you are a pro member. But, why would anyone want to incur additional selling expenses on a site that filters customers away from their selling platform? This always has puzzled me about Bonanza.

Thanks for reaching out @abigdogmom and sorry for the confusion. Bonanza is working on building a product review database so that buyers can read reviews for items directly on Bonanza. Until we have a significant amount of review on Bonanza for products, we offer buyers the options to read real customer reviews on these items on Amazon. Most sellers list goods on Bonanza for a lower price than they would on Amazon, since Bonanza’s fees are lower than Amazon’s (you can read a great comparison on fees assessed by different marketplaces here [URL removed] so we find that only about 1% of buyers purchase good from Amazon after visiting that site to read reviews.

If you wish to hide this option from your listing page, you can do so as a subscribing member. The Gold Pro memberships and high allow sellers to disable the link from their “My Booth > Booth settings > Booth appearance” page. You can read more about the features associated with the premium memberships and subscribe to the plan that best suits your business needs [URL removed]

I’m a customer who often goes to Amazon to read reviews, because they have a large data base of them, and then I return to where I found the product and buy it there. Been finding out lately that Amazon is higher than everyone else anyway. Prime is free 2-day shipping, but prices are higher.

Yes, that’s right.

I understand that Bonanza has some kind of agreement with Amazon, as our photos are hosted on their server.

You can see Your images addresses.

I don’t like this link either. I just check a few of my items and when I get to Amazon, it shows something totally unrelated. I guess that’s fine because people will come back to me to buy, but why would Bonz want to send people elsewhere. If our images are hosted on Amazon, they certainly aren’t showing. Makes no sense to me.

I also see totally unrelated items when clicking on the Amazon link. I’m will not become a pro member just to remove the link. Guess I will deal with it, but don’t like it.
