Why are numbers so low on the sold last year side? does the computer automatically enter this figure or do sellers put the figures in.

A search I ran gave me over 47,000 results. I checked the number sold last year and it showed only 1300. Is this a fairly accurate ratio?

Yes, it seems to be accurate. I just went back through quite a few of my listings that sold and they do come up as being sold when searching Bonanza. I think one time I had one listing that did not show up as being sold. I’d say for the most part it is accurate.

Bonanza automatically categorizes sold listings into the sold last year sections.

You’ve got results on that particular item’s search.

Here are numbers of a search for all items compared to sold last year, but mind that these are only the ones shipped to the US.
Since there are international sellers here, data can differ for other destinations.

unfortunately as their numbers have increased here…my number of sales has decreased…best years were [phone number removed] here for me…

One thing I would like to see happen in search is that when there is something that is true vintage, buyers can choose to separate vintage style from true vintage. Surprisingly though, I thought there would be a ton of vintage style jewelry in with vintage jewelry but in minusing vintage style…

vintage style jewelry off of the total amount of vintage jewelry listings, the number was not too bad.

Still though, since exposure can be tough in a Bonanza search, I think giving a shopper the option of separating vintage style from true vintage would help somewhat.

Let’s put it this way, if anything can help to improve search and it is a smart improvement, I’m all for it.

Curious to know, what do you all think about freebies showing up in a site-wide Bonanza search. I’ve got mixed feelings on it.

Definately a good draw in for those that have freebies. I just started offering them, so I guess I’ll take advantage of this since the opportunity is here.
