Where else online besides bonanza do people sell their items?

I just uploaded all of my items from eBay mainly because of convenience. I am now on eBay and Bonanza. Should I look elsewhere to list items for sale? Also, does anyone think that advertising my listings on Craigslist is worth anything? Thank you in advance for any thoughts.

Addoway,Ecrater are just a couple of other sites. I have tried them both in the past and was on them for over a year with zero sales. I have 5-10 sales a day on Bonanza

Thanks for asking as I was wondering too. I have handmade though.

For handmade or antiques, there is always Etsy

Very true. And I forgot all about Etsy further down below, call it old age lol. It’s been a while since I sold on there but it always paid for itself even with the listing fees. Maybe not a sale right away but eventually Etsy was always worth it for me.

One of the reasons I am on Bonanza is to mention my eBay account just as I mention Bonanza on my eBay account. If someone doesn’t have an account on one, maybe they have an account on the other which should increase the chances of a sale.

I can tell you that I do okay on Craigslist, but I don’t sell items in your price range for the most part, so I don’t know if that makes a difference. I can also tell you, though, that it requires the patience of a saint and then some, plus a very high tolerance for a whole lot of nonsense from scammers and people who have entirely too much time on their hands.

I put up with it, but just because I’m a rebel like that and ain’t gonna let the haters get me down and whatnot. Lol.

Thank you for your input. I use Craigslist to advertise on only. I point people to my eBay and Bonanza listings. I just can’t tell if anyone comes to either of my sites or not.

There’s not a whole lot else out there to sell on unfortunately. I’d nearly put Bonanza side by side on what else is out there to sell on outside of eBay. The reason why I say I’d nearly put Bonanza beside and not right next to other selling sites other than eBay is because Bonanza has got more perks/tools than the rest in my opinion.

Other than that though, Presto is a good place for having your own website. It’s $30 a month and you get some free Google shopping advertising out of that, good ability to work your SEO, web pages so that you can communicate with your customers about your store in detail (thereby creating even better SEO), etc. The owners are great there.

Welcome to Bonanza!!!!!

Like mrsdutch commented under sjtantiques original post, Etsy is a good place to sell on as well. I’ve found that I can list something on there for a reasonable price and most often it will sell even if it takes a while or a little while.

[URL removed] EmpressDepot and PlayfulPetPalz are both me.

sjtcoins says: February 23, 2017

Thank you for your advise. I will look at both Presto and Etsy.

You are welcome!!

Never put all your eggs in one basket. I sell on eBay and I love Tictail (Swedish base free website) for 2 groups of products. I also sell on eCrater another 2 groups of product and have done more in one year there than 4 1/2 years here on bonanza. You still have to advertise, (I use Pinterest and google plus). eCrater sends feeds to Google with no charge like here. I have control of my stores on these sites and I can send feeds to various search engines myself.

Keep searching the websites for what people are doing in order to sell.

I have never heard of either Tictail or eCrater. I guess I have a lot to learn. I wonder if the site you offer your product on is not as important as what you have to sell.

misskeech says: February 23, 2017

Absolutely sjtantiques! I believe you hit it right on the head!

Policequilts says: February 24, 2017

I had all my items here. Tictail is a free website and you can join the market place. eCrater is very similar to here, but you don’t pay to get exposed to Google. Both places you can send you URL to search engines.

Not a really well known site (kinda like Bonanza) but I had some listings on www.speeditrade.com I did not have too much luck there but maybe it was just what I was selling there. Seems others do well selling Jewelry and coins it seems.

You pay a fee based on item cost to first list your item and no fees if you sell it. There may be promo codes for free lists for limited qtys if you are a NEW member (what I did) but forgot what that code actually was.

You will need to register with a valid credit card if you decide to use the site. (Keeps the riff-raff out).
Good Luck

I list on Bonanza, Etsy, Craigslist and Ebay. I do better on Ebay and Etsy. I also do better on Craigslist. I sell larger items on Cragislist. Haven’t had a problem. There just isn’t any traffic here. So I go to the places where there is traffic.
