What is included in free shipping to the us?

Does that include Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands? It’s hard to include those area in the free shipping price and still be fair to those in the original 48. Else Hawaii and Alaska will ponce on my cheap items. If it were all USPS it would be better, but not everything can be shipped by mail.

Free shipping means FREE shipping. That means that you have agreed to not charge anything to ship the item to the buyer. Of course, all sellers know that the actual cost of shipping is incorporated into the price of those items in some manner.

As others have said, USPS First Class Mail (FCM) is the same price no matter where you ship in the 50 states, Puerto Rico, and any other USA “properties”. So, if you use services like UPS, FEDEX, or USPS Priority Mail (unless using flat-rate)l, then the shipping cost is dependent on the distance that you ship the item. On those heavier items that won’t ship FCM, then you may not want to state free shipping, but use calculated shipping options instead. Of course, you need to determine what the weight of the finished package is going to be before listing the item. Or, you can just set a flat rate shipping cost that will average out the cost of shipping to buyers close by and buyers who are far away.

I can go to paypal and ship anything 15 oz and under for about $3.65 & less. Up to 8 oz. i can ship $2.60 even to Hawaii & Alaska. it does not matter as long as the buyer is in the USA. You may want to check that out. Some people can ship at this rate thru pp, others cannot. not sure if it is because i have a business account or not. Even tho, a business account is free to sign up for.

It is free shipping in all of US..if the the item is shipped first class, it doesn’t matter, the cost is the same across all zones..

Anything not first class, ie priority does depend on distance and weight..

Maybe charge a small handling fee or a smaller Flat rate shipping fee across the board to offset coast to coast costs or zone 9 costs…on priority packaging.
