What happened to parcel post?

I didn’t see a shipping option to select Parcel Post for an item weighing over 1 lb. I guess everything that’s not a First Class package goes Priority.

There is NO CALCULATED Parcel Post option on Bonanza. I have been begging them for it for probably OVER 5 YEARS now as Ship Costs DO MATTER when trying to make a sale. It falls on deaf ears here. You can offer Parcel as a flat (estimated middle of the road) rate based on weight and maybe you will take a loss or a gain on it, depending on weight and distance.

With the recent change In JUNE 2019, BE AWARE that USPS is now using DIM (dimension) weight for packages over 1 cubic foot (for both Parcel or Priority) and it has gotten quite pricey to ship a box over 1 cubic foot in size so do your research on estimated costs testing with various zone zip codes of either else you could be in for a BIG Surprise if you underestimate your flat cost.
USPS recent price change has just about killed shipping larger items now for USA sellers yet China can ship for next to nothing (that is why they can offer FREE).

Print your label through Paypal and select Parcel Select (new name for Parcel Post lol).

I had the feeling that Lighthouse was looking for Parcel as far as listing the item and having it as a Calc Ship option, not actually thru paypal shipping. Parcel Select NOT always same as Parcel Post with new rate change now.

Buyers dont realize that there is lots more to shipping (to save them money & make the sale) than sticking it in any old box and hoping for the best.

It’s my opinion that shipping is what will cause a lot of people to get out of online selling. Free is no longer realistic.

All is true, Parcel select is a choice on ebay and is right at the same price as Priority and you have to add insurance where with Priority you get 50.00 free. PS is good for mailing perfume and anything with lithium batteries as it goes by ground and First class and flat rate goes by air.

I like parcel select for the odd occasions where it is a large BUT odd ball size for priority and the weight is high when shipping from one side of the US (or close to this) to the other side of the US.

If Bonz was able to put in Calc Ship for First Class, Dont see what the hangup is on Calculated Parcel. This SQUEAKY WHEEL needs Some Grease Here.
