Webstore broadcaster - is it worth it?

I researched Webstore Broadcaster. According to a sample chart provided, advertising spent was $112.48 with a revenue generated $285. So the cost of Broadcaster is nearly 50% of the revenue generated. My guess is that this does not include any selling / credit card fees and webstore expenses. Most sellers nowadays can only dream of a 100% mark-up. Most of the time whole sale pricing gets them 30 to 50% below retail pricing (and whoever still sells at retail pricing). This looks to me like a loosing proposition???? I am not getting it … Sib

This is an official Bonanza response.

This is a good question to ask Avianweb. Bonanza’s Webstore Broadcaster was created in partnership with Google. Sellers who use the broadcaster to advertise their business are spending just as much money as they would if they were to advertise with Google independent of Bonanza. One key difference is that Bonanza has simplified the process with our Webstore Broadcaster. Because we are in partnership with Google, we are also able to offer unique incentives that would normally not be available if you were to advertise with Google Adwords directly. You are also encouraged to select the advertising budget that works best for your business.

To answer your question if the Bonanza Webstore broadcaster is worth it? Absolutely! Advertising your business is necessary to getting sales (whether that is with the Broadcaster, or with your customer base, or with another advertising channel). I will also add that when you are spending money to advertise, it is really important that your listings are optimized to convert as much of that advertising traffic as possible. That means that your titles are relevant and your descriptions are complete. Make sure that you are not giving buyers a reason to shop anywhere else (meaning answer any questions they may have with your listings).

We hope that helps and that you have many sales!
