Bonanza does very little advertising for themselves. I agree, no one I ever met, even the most business and up on technology people have never heard of Bonanza. It’s frustrating. This site has so much potential. You have to promote your own goods.

I actually have a Bonanza map on my garage wall from when we first went there in the 90’s. A real Tourist Trap that is no longer there. Land sold for condo development overlooking Lake Tahoe.

I advertise by promoting my items on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, We Heart It, Fancy, and, also put my Bonanza Business cards along with a coupon inside packages when items sell on another site. The fact that no one has heard of Bonanza is a real problem, and that is why I wish Bonanza would do some very visual advertising on tv, etc.

Some TV advertising of Bonz could go a long way. Look at Poshmark and how it grew from nothing to on the Ecommerce byte ranking list is a short period (from TV Advertising).

I’ve been on Poshmark since November of last year and my sales there have blown what I did here out of the water. I also just discovered Mercari and have been selling like crazy there too. I was on Bonanza for over a year and made about 12 sales that whole time. :( Had high hopes for here.

Abigdogmom, the is the very first time I am hearing of We Heart It and Fancy. What is the URLs to these sites exactly. Maybe I’ll finally find something I like to promote on.

If you think about it Bonanza is like a Hybrid between having your own site and selling on the River or Bay. But this hybrid does have collaboration and support help with a selling platform that keeps fees reasonable. Think of it as having your own web site but easier. I have done both
