Various fee percentage

Can someone explain how or why the fee percentage changes on every other sale? Does it have anything to do with how the item was advertised by Bonanza and from where the buyer was redirected? Fee % can be 3.7 one day and 9 the other day.

Just curious :)

How I always understood it was that if the view and sale came from someone who is a member of Bonanza (sellers are buyers too) that it is the 3.5 pct. If the view and sale came in from an outside search (depending on your advertising level opens up more search engines) the sales fee would be 9 pct (or higher). Be advised that while advertising on more search engines may get you more sales, the percent fee could go as high as 30 pct depending on where the sale came in from.

One final note, Bonanza usually does not charge a percentage fee on the FIRST $10 of shipping charges (but will take a pct on the ship amount over the $10) so if you can keep shipping under $10.00 you can save a little on sell fees (unlike the auction site that takes its pound of flesh on every penny.)

“the percent fee could go as high as 30 pct depending on where the sale came in from.” – this is true only if you selected the higher advertising rates. You can choose 3.5%, 9%, 13%, 19% or 30% in your advertising settings.

The selling fees vary depending on your chosen level of advertisement. Hopefully, this link will help https://www.bonanza.com/site_help/fees_and_payments/pricing
