3/2/12, UPDATE
I have identified this squirrel figurine’s maker! As I was washing the sticker residue of the bottom, I noticed a piece of paper inside. I managed to carefully pull it out with some tweezers, and it was the maker’s label!

So he is Spanish porcelain, made by a company called PALES, which is located in the same area Lladro pieces are made.

Anyone have any idea who made this fellow?
The bottom has two impressed marks, along with the number 319.

anyway you can get a slightly clearer image of the imprints. For me they are just not showing up. It is a really cute squirrel though.

Brazil made a lot of items like your squirrel. Marks look like those, too. They have a Lladro look.

@lynnestreasures – Thanks for looking, I don’t think I can get a clearer image than the ones here. And that’s the problem, lol!
@[URL removed] Thanks for your idea, I’ve seen lots of those Brazil figurines in shops, yard sales, etc. The ones I have seen are usually stamped “Made in Brazil”, and I’ve never seen them compared to Lladro pieces, which are such high quality porcelain. I’ll do some looking in that direction, though.

For super close up pics, purchase a close up lens form david runyan. Love my lens. Brings everything up close and the pitures are awesome. Fight in you face. [URL removed]
