When listing an item I expect FedEx Ground/Home shipping to be calculate at a particular amount, however when I look up the same item on Google and click Shopping and find my item it displays 3 times more on the shipping amount (WAY WAY OFF)
This doesn’t happen if I am using USPS. (But I need FedEx amounts to be correct)
Please, add input. Is it just me or what?

The shipping rates shown are all based on dimensional weight (for both Fedex and UPS) which is almost always quite a bit higher…the only way to ensure that the exact shipping shows is if the exact size of the box is entered, but if too big then the higher price will show
(Dimensional Weight of your package(s) was used to calculate your rate.)
Since the rate cannot be calculated until there is an actual destination entered (ie the buyer enters the information), google shows the maximum amount that a package can cost from your location (using calc shipping). Google cannot give exact costs, because it does not know the exact cost
The only other option is to enter a Fedex flat rate cost
We actually used to have this problem with USPS calc shipping too..because it always showed Zone 8 shipping costs in google…because there was no way to enter shipping by location in google without a destination zipcode…

So in order to not scare people away would flat rate or free shipping be better for buyer view?
