Revising an invoice to remove shipping charge?

Buyer would like free shipping on an item which we are fine with but can NOT find a way to revise a Bonanza invoice to change the $ amt owed. What is the best way to handle this? (BTW Bonanza – this has taken up way too much research time this morning!)

1) Tell buyer to short paypal invoice by shipping amt? (Can that be done?)
2) Cancel sale as unpaid and request buyer repurchase? (Does that affect the buyers acct? We don’t want to affect them negatively)
3) Somehow issue buyer a new invoice via paypal and then mark transaction paid?
4) ?

This is an official Bonanza response.

Hi @SandcastleTreasures,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the confusion. If a buyer completed a “Buy it Now” purchase and you do not have the option to review invoices set in your booth, then the order will be automatically completed. Once an order is complete, there is no way to revise the invoice. We apologize for any inconvenience. Should you need to refund for shipping, you are able to issue a partial refund from your PayPal account, as @FrogAndBearCreations mentioned.

To ensure that you have custom invoicing enabled, go to your “My Bonanza > Account settings > Seller settings” tab and uncheck the option to “When I approve an order, send the buyer their invoice automatically (don’t prompt me to review the invoice)” to ensure that invoices are sent to you for review prior to the order being finalized.

Hope that helps! Please let us know at support if you have additional questions.
