Hello.
I received an email from Paypal with changes to the user agreement. The only real area I am not understanding is where Paypal mentions Venmo. I have no idea what this is.

“Amendment to the PayPal Account User Agreement for Sellers
We’re updating our User Agreement in anticipation of expanding our capabilities for PayPal Payouts. PayPal Payouts is being enhanced to allow payments to be directed to Venmo account holders in addition to PayPal account holders.
PayPal may use any of the payment methods linked to a seller’s PayPal account to prevent the seller’s account from becoming negative when there are not sufficient funds in the account for seller refunds, reversals and chargebacks."

My Son told me about Venmo last year. I use it almost daily. It is like a debit card. You link it to your checking account and when you use it to pay the card just withdraws the funds from your checking account. You can also keep funds loaded onto it if you prefer it not to come from your checking account. I love my Venmo card! Also it is very easy to transfer funds to your children or even split payments with friends when out to dinner.
It is not just an app. They send you a real card with a chip and you set it up just like a credit card only better.
My son assures me it is the latest with the college crowd! They all use it.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
