If I offer a 10% or more discount on my FREE SHIPPING item(s) do I indicate that the discount only applies to the actual cost of the item and does not include a discount on shipping?

Hello @StarChild3,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the confusion. If you have set a discount or item markdown in the batch editor (“My Booth > Batch edit items”), the discount will be applied to the item cost. For item markdowns, buyers will see a slash through the original price. You can read more about item markdowns [URL removed]

Since the listings have free shipping, there would not be any discounted shipping prices reflected.
Hope that helps!

All discounts that are set up in the Booth Options, apply to item prices…
Exception is the combined shipping discount set up in your booth setting>>>discounts and coupons
However, if the items are set up with shipping included (ie Free shipping) then the discount will be on the price set up…since there is no way to indicated which portion of the price is item price and which is shipping price…
If you want to have a discount on only the item price, you will have to separate the shipping out of the cost, other wise just lower the costs in your booth…and put a ‘blurb’ in your listing that the prices are discounted…
Also, why would you have to indicate that the discount is for items only…that is usually a given for discounts…(except again combined shipping discounts)

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
