I need some help identifying this amethyst glass tray. Is it an underliner tray? What would this piece be called? Would a bowl go in the middle? It is large, measuring about 13 1/2" wide. The center rings remind me of Manhattan but I’ve never seen anything like this in that pattern. Here are 2 [URL removed] ![URL removed] ![URL removed]
I’ve been pulling stuff out of storage and running into some stumpers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Methinks it’s an underplate for a console bowl.
How deep is the center indent?
I personally think it is a shallow console bowl, but it also could be meant to go under an epergne type centerpiece.
Lovely piece and I wish I could help with a pattern name…Moondrops was my first thought also, but alas, no joy ;)

Can’t get to your second picture, get an error message instead. What you are currently showing looks like it’s upside down, like the bottom of something instead of the top! LOL
[URL removed] I think pic 1 is the bottom. Is it maybe part of a lazy susan? I can’t get any depth perception which makes it hard to figure out as well. LOL
Edit 2: You may be right, a cheese and cracker tray. I sold a Heisey a long time back that was one, had never seen or heard of one until then. Except the bowl on mine was built in, not separate.

It actually looks like one piece of a serving set. The second picture looks like a matching serving dish for dipping would go in the middle and the items for dipping go around the edges. I’m not an expert on dishes, but I am at hosting and serving food in elaborate ways and I would LOVE to serve finger food on that beautiful piece, especially if you had the matching bowl. LOL

Platecoaster [URL removed] Cindy Crawford’s RoomsToGo stores have used these “modern ones” on table displays and Pier 1 stores did sell these in [phone number removed] as a unique trendy table addition for plates to sit on matching your flatware and napkins, etc..Worth $49.99+ and up providing you have a minimum set of 4.

I typed in the second picture with the wrong url. Hopefully it will work now. Here is the [URL removed] ![URL removed] Thank you! Sharon
And johngermaine, I know what you mean. I keep turning it up and then turning it down and can’t figure out which side is [URL removed]
It’s not a lazy susan. In the 1st picture the edge is curved downwards (not flat). When you turn it over the edge is curved upwards, making me think you would put crackers in the curved up area and the center has a raised lip like a bowl should fit there. Does that make sense? :-)
Yes, Purpleiris…I’m thinking some kind of serving tray with a missing bowl. I just wish I knew who made or what the missing piece is.
All right, just asking this question is making my poor mind think a little. I think it might be Moondrops by New Martinsville glass. I am going to do some internet research now and will see what I find out!
Moondrops is not panning out for me but I’m starting to think it’s a punch bowl liner. If I find out I will let you all know and thanks for listening to me!…[URL removed]
Thank you Montrose! I have never seen a plate coaster before. I think this piece is older because it was in storage for 20 years and we had it for longer than that before storage. I think my picture makes it look weird. My husband bought a tent for me to shoot pictures and it made it look like a flat disk.
The word I was looking for was Console bowl…Thank you Queenmum! The plate is 13 1/2" wide. The center ringed area is 6" wide. It flares up a little from the ringed area – about 1/2" and then down. I think an underliner for a console bowl is correct or could it be a console bowl? If that’s the case, the first picture would be correct way to display it. Most console bowls are deeper than this but I have seen some very shallow ones too.

The second picture looks like a base for placing a large pillar candle. Placing a hurricane candle glass over the candle like the following to [URL removed] [URL removed]

I think it may be a waterfall edge console bowl. I’m not sure what the second piece is. If you turn the 2nd piece the other way, does it fit in the depression on the larger piece? Good luck with your search.
