So I contacted Quincy you know the guy running things here. I asked him some questions about whats happening with this site. I asked him about traffic and he said they are working hard to drive more traffic on top of the google campaigns and provide more tools. I asked him why they dont get rid of bad sellers who are ruining the site and he said they are trying but bad sellers are getting more sophisticated by the day which makes it hard, I disagree with this because I can go right now and see all the bad sellers with nothing but negative feedback who have taken peoples money and never ship items out! These bad sellers ruin it for all of us here and because of that I started promoting good sellers here on my Pinterest account to drive people directly to good sellers so they have a positive experience here! I suggested that he come here and let everyone know whats going on with Bonanza because people are getting discouraged here by the lack of communication. He hasn’t so far but we will see. If you are unhappy I suggest everyone contact him and let him know! I got a hold of him on linkedin and I do give him credit for responding to and addressing some of the issues i brought up! Right now since everyone is so discouraged with Etsy, ebay and amazon is a time this site should be using to its advantage but unfortunately even after all these years noone knows about Bonanza! So in conclusion Ive done what I can to try and find out whats going on here and he assured me they have not abandoned this site!

Are there still staff members? No one is responding to my emails. I’m a new merchant and the items I put up always show up as pending review and then disappear .

That’s my big question. Is the site even alive? There were no blog posts for 3 months. He was pretty active in the beginning but now the site has quite a few dead links (i.e. webstores) and it is a bit concerning.
There was at one point before he bought the business they had 20+ employees. They would often respond on the forum to questions. Now how many do you ever see?
He blew off concerns about the shipping surcharge which PO’d a LOT of sellers too. For me, IF I would have still been selling 100+ orders a month here, I was using stamps.com and that would’ve been $200 a month or more. It seemed like he was just indifferent to it. Then the Vercado fiasco. He wouldn’t take any feedback on the price or features. Now he’s backtracked and made it the same or cheaper than others.
To me, I saw several eBay alt sites in the early days of powersellersunite that gained major traction with the alt selling community, and they all disappeared after months of no communication or activity from the owner or team.
Thanks for posting this though. It does give some hope.

Thank you for posting this. It does seem like this place has been deserted, and no one is minding the shop.
It used to be the Bonanza support staff was so helpful when you had a question or an issue and always responded quickly. Last week after contacting the help desk, we received an automated response saying our request for help had been received and that they “strive to answer all support emails in 24 hours or less.” Six days later, we’re still waiting for someone to get back to us. Does anyone other than Quincy still work at Bonanza?
We like selling on this site in spite of the low volume of traffic and sales, and in spite of Bonanza trying to make all their money by selling more services to sellers that probably don’t result in more sales. We just wish Bonanza would work harder bringing in more buyers and start making money from the increase in sales rather than just milking sellers to pay for extra services that aren’t bringing in more sales for them. Maybe they could advertise more like Etsy and Ebay do so potential buyers hear about this site? If you look at the Press link they have on the bottom of this site, it’s been years since they got any real press coverage.
Don’t get me wrong, my company is here for the long haul, waiting and hoping for a turn-around and keeping our fingers crossed it happens. We have been doing our part to advertise our booth on this site. Just wish Bonanza would do more to tell people about this site.
Maybe Quincy will come here and read all the sellers’ concerns and address them.

It is not a matter of “traffic” or “sales” because you have the option to have your stuff featured on Google for 9% fees and we drive quite a bit of sales from there that eBay is surely losing because they want us to buy “off site ads”.
So if you have the right stuff and do the 9%, sales trickle in.
Could be better if Bonanza had its own buyer base or reputation but it is a bad site name, no one is typing that or searching here first. Google ads is their only hope.
But is anyone even working here?
We sent several tickets when they were trying to charge us like $9 for a $6 label and we got no reply.
We made the buyer wait 4 or more days before the label resolved itself.
Had this site not tried scamming us in the first place we could have bought our label from PirateShip(always cheaper) and not made the buyer wait but since Bozozo wants to charge us some crazy $2 label fee, the buyer will suffer and not come back here.
So as it stands they have no chance of becoming a default shop stop but if they do good with G ads, they can snipe lot of would be eBay traffic. If they get greedy though, they lose that opportunity.
