Actually you do have to have a Premier or a business (a regular (personal) account is not the same)…without a premier or business account, a buyer cannot use a credit card.

Abby you probably have a premier account and not a personal account, since that change was made here a few years ago…

Log into you personal account
Click upgrade
Premier (unless you want to go the Business upgrade, but have to fill in your business info at paypal)

A regular paypal account is all I have. So you don’t have to wait to resolve this, you can go to your paypal account and invoice the buyer directly (this assumes you have, or can get, their email address). When you receive payment, you can to and just mark the item as paid.

If the buyer had asked you a question about the item, you can also go to that message and try invoicing him/her directly from that inquiry.

It’s possible the issue is with the buyer, and not you, as well.

Congrats on the sale and good luck.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
