Been happily listing and I have noticed that on some categories the MPN trait automatically comes up to be filled out. Say for example I am listing a Fostoria glass piece under the elegant glass-fostoria-coin catagory….when I go to the attributes next, I have a nice little spot asking for a MPN. Problem is, I don’t have one and probably can’t get one on a piece of glass that is from the 40s.
Question is…what happens if I leave it blank? Will my item be listed in Google? Will it be skipped? Should I try to put the item in a different catagory? (thats what I have been doing)

Google changed rules on this last year. Instead of requiring a booth exemption to be filed for vintage, handcrafted, and antiques, they created a new identifier- “Identifier Exists-FALSE.
Google requires at least 2 of 3 attributes for a product listing, MPN, GTIN,, or Brand. If these do not exist, Bonanza has a program in place that will code the product—”Identifier Exists-False."
However if they DO exist and you do not add, item will not be sent to Google Shopping. The identifier is only for handcrafted, vintage, and antiques where an identifier does not exist.
So yes, you can leave it blank, and it will be coded correctly. You can check this in the Batch Editor to make sure.
