Item variations not updating to other listings?

I have a few listings set up where I individually added item variations (color choices). The items are all in the same category. Since I offer multiple color options for these items, I want to be able to get the drop down for each listing so the buyer can select which color they’d like, and not have to do it manually to each listing.

My first listing that I manually added the colors, I saved the trait profile with “many colors” selected. When I go to the next listing, either through listing itself or batch edit, and try to apply this same trait profile of color choices it does nothing. The listing does not have a drop-down to choose a color and stays the way it was prior. Am I doing something wrong here? I’ve been trying this for days now and am getting more and more confused by the second.

This is an official Bonanza response.

Thanks for reaching out @madebycrimson. Bonanza uses the eBay category system. So, provided you select the correct category, there should already be the option to add more sizes/colors on the listing edit form (along with quantities for each variation).

If the selected category does not have the trait you are looking to use for your listing, you can suggest a new trait for that category from the following [URL removed]

In the meantime, there is a workaround to add missing traits to a category that doesn’t currently include the trait you need. Go into the item edit page and update the category to one that offers the trait you would like to add, such as “Fashion > Unisex Clothing, Shoes & Accs > Unisex Adult Clothing > Other,” for example. This will create a field for that trait. Select “many” from the drop down and add the trait and available quantity using the link above the item description box, then save your changes. Go back into the item and update the category back to your original category, and the added traits will still be there. Save your changes and you will now have many of that trait available for the listing.

Lastly we also have an option to customize these choices for your buyers. You can read about that [URL removed] [URL removed]
