I really wanted to use pictures of different doll brands in my Booth Panels that linked directly to the specific subcategory set up within my Custom Booth Categories for that brand, but have not been able to find a way to do this. I can link each panel to my booth, but not to a specific category within my booth.
When I edit the Booth Panel and attempt to append my booth name and the code for the custom_category_id to the destination ([URL removed] it gives me this error every [URL removed] “Whoops. There was an error. Link url is invalid”
What I’m attempting to paste (with the category id set appropriately to match the booth panel picture):
booths/reddygiftware?item_sort_options[custom_category_id]=643895
IS THERE ANY WAY TO DO THIS? Why won’t it allow options for the destination path instead of forcing it to end with the booth name? I honestly don’t see the point of booth panels at all without allowing this feature (unless you’re selling them as adspace to other booths on Bonanza). Do I simply have the code for specifying the category id wrong? Does anyone know?

There are benefits to the panels even if they are not interactive to the extent you wish them. First, most people don’t find your booth by doing a search on search engines, they find your items, which is what they have searched for. Curiosity may then lead them to go to your full booth (or store) where they can get an idea of what you sell by seeing your panels, though it would seem it would be a rather limited sense of your stock. Think of the panels as a window in a brick and mortar store. People stop by and look in and if you have something in your “window” that piques their interest they may walk in by clicking on your categories on the left. Most people don’t walk through store windows. An escalator into your booth/store would be nice but trust me they will get in. I know this didn’t relate to the technical aspect of your inquiry, but simply another perspective.
