Hello. I just noticed tonight that some of my categories are no longer showing all of the text. I see some periods after a few of the categories for the categories that have more text than others.
Is this happening to anyone else? If not, then do you see what I am seeing with my categories?
Or maybe it was already like this and I just did not notice it before…
Thanks,
Sharon

It is happening, when the category name is very long, e.g. over 32 characters.
Then 32 letters are shown on the front page and the rest as 3 dots, and when You click on that category and enter its page, it shows 30 characters and 3 dots on the left barre.
So, if You want to have all title visible make it up to 30 characters.
When the category titles get too long, they run onto 3 lines and it doesn’t look well.
As a rule of thumb, category names should be between 2 and 26 characters, the actual length depends on each site.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
