Inquires if items are still available when previously sold.

I’ve received an inquiry several times through Bonanza messages if an item was still available when the listing shows it was previously sold. Tonight I received an inquiry from a different person asking if a different item was still available for sale when that item also has been sold several months.
Very strange to get these inquiries when both items have been sold. The first inquiry I’ve responded that the item was not available for sale and had been sold but I keep getting inquiries from time to time. I’m afraid that the inquiry on the 2nd sold item will result in additional inquiries too even though I’ve answered it has been sold.

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Hello bargainbuffet4you,

Welcome to the Bonanza Community!

We recommend that you take a look at your eBay sync settings on Bonanza, your setting should be
-Set the Remove items option to “Remove all items that were removed from eBay” We recommend updating your sync settings to Remove all items that were removed from eBay, regardless of why the listing is no longer active (sold, manually ended, expired, etc).
-Click the green button to “Save changes and start importing” so that your sync settings are updated.
The next time the sync runs it will remove any ended or sold items that are no longer active on eBay.

To update your sync settings, hover over “Selling” then click on “Import from eBay” then click “Edit Settings”.

If you need additional support please email our support team and they will be glad to assist you further. [email protected]

Thank you and Happy Selling!
Kind Regards

It is because if an item has ever been tweeted, posted to facebook or on pinterest..that link is still active and will direct a searcher back to the original listing. As long as social media is used to advertise items those item links will be available.

Go to pinterest…there are thousands upon thousands of links back to items on all selling sites that are no longer available….

I do go in and try to clean my pinterest boards but that does not remove any item that has been re-pinned on some else’s board….

I receive those inquiries often. I sell One of a Kind, so when it’s gone it’s gone. I like it when a potential customer asks about sold items because it gives me an oppurtunity to show them something else I have that they may be interested in.

This too has happened to me and like you, I also sell one of a Kind stuff. Wondering if questions are from drop-sellers who sell it elseware (for more) and re-direct the shipping to the new buyer? and are just checking inventory first.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
