I see that some people have "buyer protection" available in their booth. how do you acquire this?

I also wonder whether this might give the shopper more confidence.

Are you speaking of “Purchase Protection”? This is through Paypal or Amazon when the seller uses those payment venues. If this is what you are talking about, if you click on the Purchase Protection icon you will see an explanation. If you are not in reference to this, maybe someone else knows more about this.
