I hope this is the place to ask?

What are the rules on Bonanza when you say the proceeds from the sale will go to charity?

There was another conversation some time ago in the forums about this.

The answer in that thread was that Bonanza does not allow you to say in the listing that the proceeds will go to charity, because there’s no way to ensure that they will, in fact, go there.

You might want to send a query to support about it, however. I’ve checked the FAQ and don’t see that this specific issue is addressed anywhere.

Technically, a person can put it in their profile/Booth details/booth panel/chat box, but not specifically in the listings

There are several here who do animal rescue and have stated that their booths support this endeavor, however, as lowerwholesale says..bonanza cannot enforce or actually verify this, and that is why it is recommended not to put it in the listings itself..

I should think that if the charity ITSELF opened a Bonz account, there would be no issue (assuming charities are allowed to be sellers, here). But, short of that, the appeal based on charitable intent is pretty tough to validate. Bonz support is the place to get your answer.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
