I don't like how offers come through bonanza

There was a check box that I wanted to click on beside a blurb that stated I needed to adjust the price before accepting the offer. I wanted to do this so that I could put the price of shipping to international. So, I clicked in the checkbox and then clicked accept offer and the offer went through for the item price only.

Even if I did it wrong, which apparently I did, Bonanza does not make it crystal clear on how to add in the cost of shipping to international.

(hoping Bonanza sees this as the seller Suggestion link takes too long and I never know if my suggestion is read by Bonanza).

Thanks,

Sharon

The offer process needs to go back to having the option for a “Counter Offer”. When you have to deny the offer, sometimes the Buyer doesn’t bother to submit another offer. I liked the Counter Offer choice much better, you could then adjust the price for the shipping.

when they changed the counter offer part, it did made it almost impossible to work with the buyer to come to some satisfactory conclusion…it is essentially useless as it is

“it did make it impossible”

Okay. So you all are saying that there was no way for me to put the cost of shipping into the offer? Totally aside from me having purposely not set items to sell to international?

Here is status [URL removed]

How Do I Add Shipping to an Offer?

“When a shopper proposes an offer, their offer price is all inclusive (item, shipping, taxes, discounts, etc). This means that you cannot add additional shipping costs to a “Best offer” proposal.

If you’re unable to ship the item with the buyer’s proposed price, you can deny the offer and leave a note to the buyer indicating why the order cannot be fulfilled at that price.

Your item will be automatically re-listed. The buyer can choose to make a new offer."

This is EXACTLY why I DO NOT allow offers on my items. Even if you state that offers do NOT include ship costs and etc, the buyers don’t read that part.

ccmom says: July 29, 2019

However, there is an exception…if you do not have your item set up for shipping to a particular location and thee is a request from that buyer’s location, then yes you can add in shipping (see https://www.bonanza.com/site_help/offers/invoicing?title=Read+more+about+adjusting+invoices )

I understand what you are saying ArtistUnion but it is a different story in the way things look when trying to add the cost of shipping. They precisely have a blurb that can be checked off to let the seller make an adjustment to the price. The offers definitely need work. I’m not one to have a…

hard time in figuring out how to do the proper steps when something is right in front of my eyes on the screen. Sorry, my rant is on Bonanza. It does need work.

EmpressDepot says: July 29, 2019

Yes, I do not have it set up for my listings to ship international, which in and of itself I should not receive request to accept an offer in the first place in my honest opinion.

EmpressDepot says: July 29, 2019

I see now you are saying that shipping cannot be added in…even though Bonanza has that blurb in there with a box that can be checked off by me. Good Lord. lol. This is a ridiculous way for offers.

A question separate from the above, what does non-us “unverified” mean?

means they do not have a credit card listed on their paypal account…or they used paypal as the credit card processor and not a paypal account

Ok. Thank you, Cindy

If the OBO is an order in which you do NOT shipping set up for and you have chosen the require approval option in seller settings, then it should come to your email looking like [URL removed]

![URL removed]

With the link review this order on bonanza

once you click on that..there should be a box to add additional (shipping) costs

Do not click on Approve or Deny…. until after you reviewed and added the shipping

This is the ONLY time now that shipping can be added to an OBO

However, I am hesitant to click that box because I do not wish to approve all purchases…In the past that is what the link meant.

Reading the instructions in help, seem to imply that the link now only includes offers that have shipping missing…but I really don’t want to test that theory..

Perhaps I will send a message for clarification

and I have gotten a few international OBO’s that do not have shipping set up for that have the review this order on bonanza and it has worked fine without having the box checked in seller settings but it has been awhile
…unfortunately other OBOs there is no option

I totally agree! I don’t know why Bonanza thought it was a good idea to have an offer include shipping.
