I'd like to include a link to a helpful youtube video, but links added never work. why?

The first result of clicking on the link is that the customer gets what appears to be a totally blank page, but if they scroll way up, they get the alert of impending doom and gloom and is strongly advised to not follow the link, but if, by some miracle they do, the link doesn’t work anyway. I tried to embed the link so the cust doesn’t have to leave, and that does not work at all. I tried using a frame that is provided in the WYSIWYG tool, but that doesn’t do anything either. I just want to be able to place a link to a helpful video. Is this not allowed? and if so, what long and winding route do I need to run to do an incredibly simple thing?

Links in body of listings will have the “leaving site” warning no matter where/how it is placed in the listing, but if the buyer chooses to click on the link it should work External links for the most part are discouraged.

If you have only one video, you can place it on your booth page and link to that (not sure..I have never tried)

Booth Settings
Booth Appearance
Banner
Panel
Videos there is an upload link

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
