Bonanza is very slow. I don’t know if it’s possible to get up to that level of sales on here. I have over 500 items in my booth and only make on the order of 10 sales per month. I sell a lot more on other platforms, but I like that I can keep all my inventory on here for free, so I have one place with a pretty complete list of everything I’m selling. I do add new listings every week, and I refresh my booth every day.

I hardly ever sell anything here on Bonanza. I’m not complaining. Heck, it’s FREE to list and the selling fees aren’t high.

It is free to list items, but if there are no sales you’re not making any money so the free listings aren’t saving you any money. The whole point of a marketplace is to bring you customers so you can focus on other aspects of your business. I don’t agree that this isn’t something to complain about.

I had over 1,000 items listed, made about 12 sales my first YEAR. Then went another year WITHOUT any sales and moved my items to another platform where I’m actually making money. The stuff I still have listed here are items that need new pics before I move them as well. I was advertising items at least 3 times a day on different social media sites…..didn’t do a lick of good.

Where are you selling on now?

I’ve been here since July, I have 360 items for sale, I add products regularly and log into the website everyday, I have good SEO and advertising and I still have 0 sales on this website, but I have sales on other websites. I almost had 1 sale here, but that fell apart because Bonanza had some issues with the customer’s address, so they cancelled. I mainly use Bonanza as a platform to preview mockups and I don’t delete them because it doesn’t cost anything to list products. But it my experience, people don’t come here to buy. They do have a badge you receive when you’ve listed 750 products, so I’m curious to see if anything changes for me once I reach that number.

What other websites do you use? Let me know if it changes anything once you get to 750 listings!
