How does one post a link to someone's booth (getting the picture to show too)with a mobile phone?
On Etsy, when I want to share a person’s item with a mobile phone, all I have to do is copy all the words in the title under their picture, then paste it in the games section that I am participating in. I have tried to do that very same thing on here in a games section, but it is not working. What does happen is their link to their item shows up , not a picture. I can only use a mobile phone to do this. I would appreciate any help with this problem.

Thanks,
Shannon

I am not sure what you do about copy/paste with mobile devices, but to get a photograph posted in forums, it will have to hosted online somewhere…picking up a picture in someone’s booth is fine. Get the URL of the photo (on computer using chrome, it is simply right click and copy image URL)

Bring to the forum and paste it between exclamation points..

Here is a image URL from your [URL removed]

Put an ! at the beginning and at the end. To make it clickable follow with Colon : and the URL of the listing, booth or whatever you wish to link.
With spaces it will look like [URL removed]

! [URL removed] ! : [URL removed]

Post without the spaces between ! and URL and : and it becomes a clickable picture (in this case back to your listing)

Clickable image

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
