How do the live auctions work?

Can someone explain the process of the live auctions to someone who has never participated before? For example, how do you place a bid?
When I visit the booths, I see nothing happening.

I found my answers by observing. However, there might be more response if there was some instruction with the post advertising the auction. Some people won’t bother to go back to watch (or buy) if they don’t understand how it works.

Keep an eye on the fun & games thread., info will always be posted there Kathy.

It really is easy. Ask me, I bought several items last night. The item to be auctoned is posted ion the chat box and bids are placed on the chat box as well. We are invited to request an item from the booth to auction. That way you are pretty sure it will ber considerable cheaper than the asking

Thanks. I was able to participate last night and even bought something.

I have been here for almost a year and never engaged because I wasn’t sure how it worked and didn’t have the time to search for answers. It would be advantageous, particularly for newcomers, to post the information on how it works within the post to advertise it.

The live auctions are done according to the rules of whomever is doing the auction…which means you will have to ask the person who posts the auctions directly…it is their auction and therefore their rules..

Live auctions on Bonanza?

Where can I find information about it – there is nothing on help [URL removed]

Thank you, misskeech, for posting your link – I will read provided info.

Is it just a private initiative?

But since those auctions are available here, why Bonanza doesn’t inform about it officially?

I must admit, I never enter ‘games’ section of the forum, so, I assume that a lot of sellers might also not do it…

See my comment above. I went to the help pages above but didn’t feel like searching through all the pages to find answers. Good point on the advertising! Thanks for your input, ArtistsUnion.

All things like this are done on the initiative of the sellers..Live Auctions, Christmas in July, the Old Block Party, The Renaissance Faire…are all special sales events that sellers do/did on their own. They organized it, set it up and advertised it….all appear in either promo or games forums

ccmom says: June 09, 2015

if you would like to see how any of these were done in the past, click on the See all deals, promotions link and put the events in the search box….

misskeech says: June 10, 2015

I think that is why so many people stick with and love Bonanza….The boyz (bonanza mgt) allows the sellers to do things like this (Live auctions, Christmas in July, etc) I doubt this would be able to be done by sellers on any other site.

The live auctions (The auction train) has started up again. Currently it is being held on Sundays. I was in the one yesterday and sold 3 items. Below is the link to the last auction from yesterday so you can read about it and if you want to sign up you can contact Brushstrokesgallery. Be prepared to auction your items at a lower price point since this is an auction and of course the starting bid should be lower.

Thanks for the link, misskeech. Perhaps it should also be posted under ‘Promote Your Booth’.

KathysCreations says: June 08, 2015

I just went through that link with all the information, and there were the rules right at the top, duh! But that was posted 9 days ago. It wasn’t visible yesterday.

Just click on the Fun and games link and use the search box to find any of the older posts

SparklesJewelry says: June 10, 2015

If im not mistaken, certain posts can only be posted in certain sections or they will be removed by bonanza.

The auction train, in addition to Sunday, is now going to be on Fridays also.

I don’t know how to explain. It’s so hard.

Anything can now be sold on specialized websites. I know this since I’ve successfully sold a variety of my products, including culinary dishes and recipe books, online. The most important thing is to discover a reputable site, which I’ve been looking for a long time. I read the reviews here ginnys phone number [URL removed] , which are extremely helpful in learning for yourself and coming to conclusions. So I wholeheartedly suggest it. Best wishes.
