How do i send a counteroffer to a buyer?

Buyer made offer and asked for free shipping. I contacted her thru Bonanza and said offer good but she needs to pay shipping. She said good. So, how do I send her a counteroffer? If I accept her offer, she won’t be charged shipping.

Unfortunately, the counter offer option was removed from the offer system.

You will have to deny the present offer and either change the listing and let the buyer purchase item or have them re-do the offer with corrected amount…and then accept the second offer

Bonanza’s reasoning for removing counter offer feature is that it is made clearly in the offer process that the buyer should included shipping…which many actually miss or do not include…

When you deny an offer, there’s a comment box. I usually include a comment in the denial to the effect of “I can’t afford your offer plus cover shipping but I am willing to sell for $X, a price that includes shipping. If you’re okay with that, make another offer for that price and I’ll accept.”

they may have just wanted to ask you for free shipping, but the message that gets sent also has on it “do you want to make the seller an offer” or something to that effect, so it may not even be a real offer, just a message…which i think is really dumb, why bonanza ever set that up like that, i dont know.

I would think that if both parties agreed to the shipping costs, that the offer invoice could be updated/revised to include the shipping costs.

I’ve never had an offer before, so wasn’t sure how it works. There is an offer invoice that can be revised?

Not sure, haven’t had any offers for so long I can’t remember how it works…Check to see if there is anywhere to edit or revise the offer/invoice

In the past the note for “I need to revise my invoice” in the counter offer process was tiny and you had to check a box, so many people missed it. It was a terrible form. It may STILL be like that I haven’t had one in a while. I do not take offers, (It’s in the booth settings) but occasionally one would slip by, like from a foreign country, and I would approve if it was from Canada, but I knew about the tricky system so made sure I checked the box. The others I just explained that shipping was too high for a sale to Europe.
